It took me two weeks to finally hit "publish post," though it's yet to be seen if I have hit it tonight. But if you read this, I did.
For the past couple of weeks I've started many a post and then lose interest quickly. You see, typing 50 words, finding a link, adjusting a picture, and clicking two buttons takes a lot out of me. One man can only do so much in a day, and the two minutes of effort was too much on this man. (Yes, third person references!)
But this was needed; things in reality were blending with my online life.
For instance, I saw a girl on the street with my family and was in awe. The girl? Julia Allison?
"Who the fuck is that?" you ask. Yeah, so did my parents.
Why, only a media maven in an Internet 2.0 world. OMFG.
You see. When I am more in awe over a publicity whore walking the streets instead of the sights and sounds of the world, I need to check my priorities. I checked where they laid, and discovered that I was becoming a bit too pathetic. Yeah, not self-deprecating, trendy-nerdy pathetic. It was more like real pathetic.
Alas, I'm back. I'm feeling good about the future of Bottomless Chips*. While I want to decrease the frequency of posts, and increase the length of posts, I make no promises. Sorry to those who enjoyed the old format, but maybe I revert back. Again, no promises.
*Bottomless Chips (a non-registered trademark) receives more mail each day about credit offers. The overheads costs of this site are killing me** that we may need to look into borrowing.
**wasabi peas; Popcorn, Indiana; and Vitamin Water are my three fixed costs in maintaining this site. Please donate. Today.
